Genetic screening for inherited diseases is a cornerstone of our meticulous breeding program. Only when both parents receive a clean bill of health and are issued a Canine Genetic Health Certificate do we proceed with breeding. This ensures that the puppy you acquire is free from hereditary diseases, providing you with peace of mind.

At Gravel Ridge, our breeding philosophy intertwines family values, with our two caring children actively participating in raising our Sheepadoodles, Bernedoodles, and English Bernedoodles. Embracing an in-home rearing approach enhanced by the Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Socialization Initiative (ESI), we follow the BadAss Breeder methods to cultivate an environment of love and socialization. This commitment, combined with our dedicated program of breeding dogs, contributes to the overall well-being and balanced temperament of our exceptional dogs

Josh and Leanne’s home is where you would want your new puppy to spend it’s first 8 weeks. As a seasoned dog owner I can say our new puppy Annie (Skipper) is the most well adjusted, ready for family life pup I have ever adopted. I’m blown away by her wonderful temperament which Josh and Leanne described PERFECTLY, a testament to how invested they are in each puppy. From a socialization and training perspective it is obvious how much thought and time is put into their program; she already has a strong desire to eliminate outside, excellent recall and is not scared or surprised by any noise or motion that erupts from our 4 and 9 year old. We adore our pup Stanley! He has cheered the household back up after the loss of our last dog. Josh and Leanne were so patient and understanding when it came to choosing a new pup to bring home. They went right along with the surprise and were thrilled to see the video of the introduction between Stanley and our kids. This puppy had been prepped for lots of pets and attention in Leanne and Josh’s household (being house raised and handled) which made introduction and integration to our home and family such a smooth transition. Aside from all of this, our vet was thoroughly impressed with Stanley’s vaccination card (sent home with us) and the overall health of our new pup! Leanne and Josh have been so great to deal with as we prepare to bring home our first puppy. They were very accommodating when it came to arranging a visit ahead of time to make sure my son didn’t have an allergic reaction.
